6 Down, 8 to Go!

Today marked the completion of week six of half marathon training!  My race is eight weeks from today... yikes!  Time's a flyin!

I was looking forward to today's recovery run because Emily and I decided to get the miles in on the canal. It would have been nicer if the sun was out... but I suppose the snow on the canal made for some pretty scenery.

We did an out and back loop and the first half flew by since the wind and snow was at our backs.  The second half was not so nice since we were running back into the wind and snow.  Overall not a bad run though.. nice and slow and super flat and some quality time with mother nature.

I'm looking forward to this upcoming week for a few reasons: 1. after the week, I will be HALF WAY through training! 2. the weather is looking pretttty good for the week and 3. I get to run with my sister on Tuesday! So excited for some sissy run time!

Let week #7 begin! :)

  1. Hi Molly,
I just wanted to let you know, I am really enjoying reading your blog. It is really refreshing to read the journey of a beginner in the world of running. So many running blogs are people who have been running for years and it seems to come so naturally to them.
I started running properly in January, (I had tried on and off a couple of years ago). Reading your blog is such an inspiration and has become a little support system for me. When I am struggling on a run, I always think of what you have mentioned about the little barriers- about how your get to that point when you do not know what you are doing and do not know if you can keep on going, but somehow you do keep on going and then afterwards feel like it was the best run ever!
Reading about your little milestones encourages me to celebrate my own little milestones.
    Keep up the amazing work
    Lizzy from London :)
